Thai Hot Herbal Compress (Luk Pra Kob)
Thai Hot Herbal Compress (Luk Pra Kob)
Available now

Herbal Compresses are a blend of herbs, including Plai (Zingiber Cassumunar), Turmeric, Lemongrass, Kaffir Lime, with Salt and Camphor, which is wrapped in cotton cloth and steamed before being applied to the body. The heat from the steam helps increase regional blood flow and released volatile oils from the herbs to exert anti-inflammatory action on the inflamed and aching muscles. Its herbal composition can also nourish and soften the skin.

Hot compresses are frequently used to address chronic problems such as, back pain, tendonitis and shoulder strain, as well as to increase the flow of chi (energy) and are often used in conjunction with traditional Thai Yoga Massage.

The compresses are soaked, steamed and then used on the body by either patting, pounding or rolling them onto the skin. The heat from the compress carries the herbal essences and essential oils deep into the skin, underlying tissues and organs. The treatment brings about a deep sensation of comfort and warmth whilst stimulating the body to detoxify and heal itself.
